Gold in the SkyGold in the sky, forcing back the abysmal gray stigma scarring the once perfect sea of darkness looming overhead. This morning, the sky was just a cloudier version of the ocean, the gray puffs stalking out across the undulating folds of crisp, clean black, undulating over last fading memories of the stars that once claimed it, ebbing and flowing, yet always escaping from that gold in the sky. As I barreled down the road, no air or heat in circulation to distract me from the journey, I saw that profound darkness suffocating as a shield above the world, and I saw that as the gold rose up, the clouds seemed less gray, yet mGold in the Sky
